No, we’re not throwing shade on apes, encouraging existential breakdowns in macaques or running a deep-state programme to send primates into space.
We play a song by the Arctic Monkeys followed by a song by The Darkness and we run the end of one song into the start of another.
So, when we’re in the studio and deciding which song to play next, we often suggest “monkeys into darkness”?
Thus, the band name was created.
